Last Sunday, Australian Biathlon held the second in its METEC Autumn Laser Biathlon series at Bayswater North. The weather may have been damp, but spirits were high! Organiser Michael Lillycrapp, a former World Cup biathlete, introduced a new event after the Mass Start. After the rollerskiiing and Skiking, participants took off the wheels and put on the runners, for a Super Sprint Relay race. This was a very exciting event for spectators to watch, as all the teams’ running (and puffing and panting) could be seen from the spectator area, which was located in the middle of the race area. Looking foward to the last in this METEC series on 15 June!
