The final Mountain Bike Biathlon event for 2014 was held at Wodonga, VIC recently.
Coach Bob Cranage, OAM assisted by Michael Wilkinson, ran races at Sporting Shooters Association of Australia (SSAA) Range at West Wodonga, VIC. Participants were grouped into Juniors (Under 12) who used laser rifles, as well as Junior Under 18 who used regular .22 rifles and Seniors 18 and older.
Great fun was had by all!
Several officials helped out, and the spectators included a number of SSAA officials and members.
Bob and Michael conducted three Sprint biathlon relays in teams of two.
In addition, many individuals competed in the Ski Erg competition. These were double pole events, requiring 2 x 250 metre sprints on the Ski Erg, interspersed with two lots of shooting.
There are several summer biathlon events planned at SSAA for 2015, we can’t wait!
