The Wodonga annual interschool shoot held by Sporting Shooters Association of Australia (SSAA) was held on 3 June last. SSAA has published a report in the November edition of its regular newsletter, under Competition News.
The SSAA has a membership of 175,378, with the magazine being available in print and electronic form. Link is: www.ssaa.org.au/disciplines
In the Biathlon event, there were 24 teams with four competitors per team, making it the largest biathlon competition in 2015, edging out the Defence Forces on-snow competition at Mt Hotham in August.
Each student ran a 150m loop and then shot five shots from the supported prone position. Penalty loops were a 25m sprint loop.
The top team for the event was Wodonga Middle Years College, 2015 champions and winners of the Snow Trek and Travel Wodonga Perpetual Biathlon Relay Trophy.
