We can’t wait for the East Gippsland Junior Biathlon Fun at Bairnsdale, VIC tomorrow!
On Saturday 13th of February and Saturday 5th of March, East Gippsland Biathlon Club will be running Introductory Junior Laser Biathlon Clinics.
The sessions will be run by locals Cameron and Damon Morton. Damon has just arrived back in Australia after representing Australia at World Cup and Junior World Championships. His father Cameron represented Australia at the 2006 Torino Olympic Winter Games. The event is an official Australian Biathlon and East Gippsland Biathlon Club initiative.
Where: Bairnsdale Aquatic and Recreation Centre, 80 McKean Street, meet in the rear carpark
Program:
1:30 pm – introductions and rollerskiing demonstration
1:45 to 2:45 pm – have a go at laser shooting and rollerskiing (all done off-road)
2:45 to 3:30 pm – fun laser biathlon races
What to bring:
Drink bottle, runners, helmet, bright shirt or reflective vest; any sort of scooter, skateboard, rollerblades, rollerskis. Limited amounts of rollerski equipment will be available to borrow. Knee pads, wrist guards, gloves and elbow pads are advised to be used by beginners trying rollerskis. No rollerskiing without a helmet and bright top at a minimum. No bikes!
Cost: East Gippsland Biathlon Club Members $5, non Members $10. All proceeds to EGBC
