We can’t wait for our National Camp 2-10 July at Mount Hotham, site of the only biathlon range in Australia!
The program runs over the July school holidays and incorporates two weekends of mini-series racing and coaching.
The races are:
2 & 3 July – laser Mini Biathlon races
9 July – NSW Championship
10 July – East Gippsland Open Championship
Coaches:
Guest coach for the High Performance athletes is Luca Bormolini, Head Biathlon Coach, Livigno Ski Club and Coach of the Year, as well as being a former member of the Italian World Cup Team and Army Team.
Cameron Morton is our Director of Sport, an ex Winter Olympian in Biathlon, Level 2 qualified XC skiing and biathlon coach.
Cost:
This program is substantially subsidised,
Australian Biathlon members: $25 per day
Non-Members: $45 per day
Accommodation and meals:
Participants pay for these costs; limited beds are available at Currawong Lodge, please enquire for more details.
Australian Biathlon will supply ammunition, target papers, a limited supply of training wax, as well as a Range Officer.
Equipment:
– own rifle – or $5 per day for share rifle
– XC skis, boots, poles
– ski waxes, brushes, equipment
– warm clothing, incl change of gloves and running shoes
– rollerskis/Skikes
– sunscreen and water bottle
– all your meals
High Performance Program:
This program will be led by Luca Bormolini to take our High Performance athletes to the next level this winter. Further details in the flyer, available on request (see below).
Future Stars Program:
This program is aimed at 6-16 year olds aspiring to learn to cross country ski and experience biathlon. See the flyer for further details.
