BIATHLON: Damon Morton and Daniel Walker have secured their qualification for the next stage of the IBU Cup following their results at the Ridnaun event in Italy overnight.

Morton finished the 132-man sprint event in 83rd,3:39.8 behind after missing one shot with Walker claiming 118th, 5:34.0 off the pace with three missed shots.
Damon’s sister Darcie finished 81st of 94, 6:14.2 behind with two missed shots.
Darcie is yet to qualify for January’s IBU Cup races and will need to perform well in next week’s IBU Cup 3 Individual and Sprint races at Obertilliach, Austria in order to line up in 2017’s opening events.
The sprint results follow Darcie and Damon Morton’s 20th place finish in the single mixed relay earlier in the weekend.
