The final events for Australians at Youth/Junior World Championships 2016 were the Youth Women and Youth Men Relay events.
Final results were:
Women Youth (Darcie Morton, Gabrielle Hawkins, Sabrina Howell), 17th
Men Youth (Harry Jacobs, Matthew Wright, William Neuhaus), 21st

At Youth/Junior World Championships Individual races at Cheile Gradistei, ROU overnight AEST, Damon Morton was the best performed Australian, following in the tracks of his younger sister Darcie’s Women Youth race the day before.
Battling both gusting wind and temperatures above zero, where only one Male athlete shot clean, Damon finished in 21st place, shooting 1+0+2+1, 6:37 behind in the field of 102 finishers.

Damon’s next event is the Junior Men 10 km Sprint tomorrow, with his sister Darcie taking part in the Youth Women 6 km Sprint today.
Last night the Opening Ceremony at Youth/Junior World Championships (Y/JWCH) 2016 was held at Cheile Gradistei, ROU.
Australia is one of 39 Nations participating.
Standard bearer for Australia was Jeremy Flanagan, with Sabrina Howell being the flagbearer.
The nine athletes are Jeremy Flanagan, Damon Morton, Jillian Colebourn, Harry Jacobs, William Neuhaus, Matthew Wright, Gabrielle Hawkins, Sabrina Howell and Darcie Morton.
Coach in Charge is Luca Bormolini, assisted by Wax Technician Andreas Kuppelwieser.
