Paul and Lynn-Maree Cullen ran the final pre-winter Mountain Bike Summer Biathlon event at Wodonga, here is their report:
“These are some photos captured from the final event held at Wodonga Sporting Shooters Association Range recently, shooting both .22 and laser rifles.
On the day we had a total of 15 competitors spanning junior and senior participants. We were supported with great weather on the day and a good number of hands on deck to support the event.
We had participants from as far as Alexandra and Bendigo travel to Wodonga for the event which is great!
At 15 competitors it was one of our best supported events in some time. The theme for this particular event was a school competition where kids were put into teams representing the schools they were from. The results on the day for both high school and junior school teams are detailed in the tables below.
A big thank you to the Australian Biathlon Association too for its ongoing support and investment in these events. A key enabler for the success of these grass root/development events. The medals were sought after and proudly worn by those that won them on the day! As the attached photos show the spot prizes were also very popular!
